About David Lord



David Lord has been a prosecutor for 12 years, focusing primarily on violent crime and complex narcotics investigations. David is a regular instructor for statewide conferences for prosecutors and his teaching focuses primarily on ethics. He is a prior recipient of the Warren B. Von Schuch Award from the Virginia Association of Commonwealth’s Attorneys, the Randolph Sengel Award for Prosecutorial Excellence, and the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce 40 Under 40 Award.

David is the former President of the Alexandria Bar Association and has previously served as an adjunct professor for Appellate Writing at George Mason University’s School of Law. He graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from Colorado State University and obtained his J.D. from George Mason in 2005.  During the evenings, David takes courses at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington D.C. and is working towards obtaining a Master of Theological Studies (M.T.S.) degree.
